Blueberry Basil Lemonade

  1. Make simple syrup: dissolve sugar in half the water (warm or boiled), then let cool.
  2. Blend blueberries with the remaining water using an immersion blender.
  3. Lightly bruise basil leaves to release flavor.
  4. In a pitcher, combine syrup, blueberry blend, lemon juice, and basil.
  5. Add cold still or sparkling water if needed to taste. Stir well and serve over ice.
